INTRODUCTION
What Is Human Design?
Human Design is a self-discovery system introduced by Ra Uru Hu in 1987. It is a synthesis that combines astrology, the I Ching (the Book of Changes), the Kabbalah and the Hindu chakra system. From your birth date, time and place it produces a “BodyGraph” — a chart that shows your energy type, your decision-making strategy and your inner authority.
The 5 Energy Types
Every person belongs to one of these five types. Your type shows how you interact with the world and how you can use your energy in the way that suits you best.
Strategy: To Respond
Generators are the largest group of the population. They have a steady, sustainable life energy — but it only flows when it is directed toward work they truly love. Their strategy is to “wait and respond”: they find the right direction by responding to what life brings them, not by making plans.

Strategy: To Respond, Then Inform
A fast, multi-talented version of the Generator. They can follow several interests at once and often “jump” from one project to another. Their strategy is also to respond, but informing the people affected when they take action makes their relationships easier.
Strategy: Wait for the Invitation
They can see systems, people and energy deeply — they are natural guides. But their own energy is limited, so constantly trying to “prove themselves” wears them out. Their strategy is to wait to be recognised and invited.
Strategy: To Inform
They are initiators — they have the power to set things in motion without needing anyone’s approval. Their strategy is to inform the people who will be affected before they act, which reduces the resistance they meet.
Strategy: Wait a Lunar Cycle
The rarest type. They reflect the energy around them like a mirror — which makes them incredibly sensitive, and also a kind of “health indicator” for their community. For important decisions they are advised to wait a full lunar cycle (about 29 days).
