How do you calculate name numerology?
In the Pythagorean system each letter has a value from 1 to 9: A J S = 1, B K T = 2, C L U = 3, D M V = 4, E N W = 5, F O X = 6, G P Y = 7, H Q Z = 8, I R = 9. Add the values of the letters in your full birth name and reduce the total to a single digit, keeping the master numbers 11, 22 and 33.
Is Y a vowel or a consonant in numerology?
Y is always worth 7, but its role changes: when a vowel follows it (as in "Yasmin"), Y counts as a consonant; otherwise (as in "Lynn" or "Mary") it counts as a vowel. The calculator applies this rule automatically.
