How Common Is Each Life Path Number? An Analysis of 36,890 Birth Dates

We calculated the Life Path number of every single day on the calendar from 1930 to 2030. The result is surprising: master numbers are not as rare as people think, the rarest number is 33, and the numbers 2, 4 and 6 appear noticeably less often than the others.
KEY FINDINGS
• Master numbers (11, 22, 33) appear on 10.32% of all days: roughly one birth date in ten carries a master number.
• The rarest Life Path number is 33: 286 days, or 0.78%.
• The number 2 appears on only 4.69% of days, 4 on 7.98% and 6 on 10.33%. The reason: dates whose totals reach 11, 22 or 33 stay unreduced as master numbers, so they are “taken away” from 2, 4 and 6.
• 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 are distributed almost perfectly evenly (about 11.1% each). There is no single “most common” number.
• No baby born in 2026 will have Life Path 22 or 33, and only 5 days of the year give Life Path 2.

WHY ARE MASTER NUMBERS SO COMMON?
In the calculation, the day, month and year are first reduced separately; if an intermediate total reaches 11, 22 or 33, it is kept without reducing. Because the 11 total appears in so many combinations of day, month and year, 11 alone reaches 6.42%. 22 reaches 3.13%, while 33 is only 0.78%. In other words, carrying a master number is not a rare privilege, but 33 truly is scarce.

The “most common number” changes from decade to decade, but the differences are only a few hundredths of a percentage point; the truly stable finding is that master numbers stay at around one in ten in every period.

METHOD AND LIMITATIONS
The day, month and year are each reduced to a single digit (11, 22 and 33 are kept as master numbers), then added together and reduced again. We used exactly the same method as the Kader Kodu calculator, and every calendar day from January 1, 1930 – December 31, 2030 was counted once.
This is a distribution of calendar days; because births are not spread evenly across days and years, the real shares in the population may differ slightly. No personal data was used in this study, and anyone who follows the method will reach the same results. Numerology is not a scientific method of prediction but a tradition of understanding yourself through the symbolic language of numbers.
